A Quick 9: Betsy King

1. What do you do for fun away from the golf course? Interests/Hobbies….
I like working out with a trainer. I do weight lifting and pilates . In the off season I work out five days a week. I also like to go to Broadway plays. I usually make it to New York once a year and musicals are my favorite.

2. What jobs did you have before golf?
Only other job I had was working at a golf range and mini-golf place the summer before my freshman year in college.

3. Who is/was your role model and why?
My Dad - he really gave of himself for my brother and me

4. If you could switch jobs for a day with one person, who would it be?
I’d want to switch with the President. I wouldn’t be too good though, because I have strong views on subjects and wouldn’t want to have to compromise very much.

5. Would you rather be a movie star or a rock star?
I’d rather be a movie star.

6. What was your first car and what do you drive now?
My first car was a Datsun B210. It was orange and a stick shift and I had three days to learn to drive stick before I had to drive from Pa. to Furman for my sophomore year in college. Now I drive an Audi A6 in Pa. and an Audi A4 in Scottsdale my winter home.

7. Favorite city
My hometown, Limekiln,PA; and Scottsdale, AZ, my winter home

8. Favorite movie
Hotel Rwanda

9. Best moment off the golf course
The LPGA Hall of Fame celebration in Reading with my family and 400 of my closest friends
