Titleist Golf Ball Loyalists Sweep Worldwide Professional Tours

Twenty-five year-old Spaniard Rafael Cabrera-Bello (Pro V1x, 906F2 3-wood, ZM irons, Vokey Design sand wedge, Spin Milled lob wedge, Scotty Cameron Studio Select T-10 Newport 2 putter), eight shots behind the overnight leader entering the final round, torched the Fontana Golf Club on the outskirts of Vienna, with a closing 11-under 60 to win the Austrian Open for his first career European Tour title. Cabrera-Bello, who finished at 20-under 264 to edge runner-up and third round leader Benn Barham (Pro V1x, Scotty Cameron Studio Select T-10 Newport 1.5 putter) by one shot, had a 30-foot eagle putt on the final hole for a chance at 59.
CHAMPIONS: Titleist Brand Ambassador Jay Haas (Pro V1, 905R driver, 909F2 fairway metals, 909H hybrid, AP2 irons, Vokey Design sand wedge, Spin Milled lob wedge, Scotty Cameron Studio Design putter) birdied five of the last six holes en route to a final round 7-under 65 to capture the Greater Hickory Classic for his first win of the season. Haas, who also won the event in 2005, posted a tournament record 18-under 198 at Rock Barn Golf and Spa’s Robert Trent Jones course to win by two shots over Russ Cochran (Pro V1, Cobra S9-1 Pro S driver, Cobra Pro CB irons) and Andy Bean (Pro V1, Titleist lob wedge). The win is the 13th of Jay Haas' Champions Tour career.
LPGA: Na Yeon Choi (Pro V1x) sank a four-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole of the Torrey Pines South Course to capture the Samsung World Championship by one shot for her first LPGA Tour title. Choi, who held a 2-shot lead heading into the final round, closed with a one-under 71 to finish at 16-under 272. Jiyai Shin (Pro V1), who won last week at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship, finished alone in third place at 11-under 277.
NATIONWIDE: Fran Quinn (Pro V1x, Scotty Cameron P330 putter) birdied two of his last three holes, including the 72nd for a one-shot win at the Albertsons Boise Open. Quinn edged Blake Adams (Pro V1x), who led after each of the first three rounds, by one shot. It marked the third career victory for Quinn, but his first in nine years. Quinn shot a final round 2-under 69 to finish at 14-under 270. Adams, who owned a two-shot lead heading into Sunday, closed with a 1-over par 72. Quinn shot four consecutive rounds in the 60's.
SOUTH AFRICA: Darren Fichardt (Pro V1x) ran away with the Vodacom Business Origins of Golf tournament, finishing seven shots clear of the nearest competitor. Fichardt fired a three round total of 18-under 198 for his 14th career victory, including his second title of the season. Titleist Brand Ambassador Jbe Kruger (Pro V1x, 909D2 driver, 909F2 3-wood, 909H hybrid, ZB irons, Vokey Design wedges) shared second place with rookie and Titleist golf ball loyalist Keenan Davidse (Pro V1x).
JAPAN: Toru Taniguchi (Pro V1x, Vokey Design gap wedge, Spin Milled lob wedge) closed with an even par 72 to win the ANA Open for his 15th career JGTO victory. Taniguchi, who began the final round with a five-stroke lead, finished at 16-under 272, four shots clear of three players, including South Korea's Kim Kyung Tae (Pro V1x, Vokey Design pitching and gap wedges, Vokey Spin Milled lob wedge). Titleist was the most played golf ball at the ANA Open with 49 players.
