I am still using 915 driver. Can I use the driver without the precision weight and not violate any golf rules?

It is considered a non-conforming club without any weight.

I believe that the open hole (left when the weight is removed) makes it non-conforming.

stewart, taking out the weight would create a hole in the driver head which would then make the driver non-conforming per usga regulations.

From my understanding, you can alter your clubs as much as you would like (as long as the face is USGA conforming) before you tee off. Once you tee off there is no more altering of clubs allowed, same is true if you would move weights around by adding or subtracting weights and in your case subtracting all the weights. So make the adjustments needed to fit your swing but don't change a thing once you walk off the first tee!

No you cannot because of the screw hole being open. Plug the hole after removing the weight and you're good to go.

No. Is not confirming if the hole is left open and not installed.

It will be non conforming. USGA shows the weight in the image they have of conforming 915d head.
