Can the head weight be changed on the 915 D2 Driver? I shortened the shaft and would like to reweight the head. I can use lead tape but wondering if weight is interchangeable with a heavier weight?

Yes they are and are available thru any shop that carries Titleist clubs. If they do not have them they can order them for you. They are always available online. You should be able to purchase the kit or individual weights:

    Titleist 915 Driver Head Weights
    Available is 4g - 7g - 9g - 11g - 14g - 17g
The GDW Titleist 915 Weights provide multiple options to adjust your Titleist 915 Driver's swingweight to your preferred feel.

You can change them with your adjustment wrench that comes with your driver.

Go to GolfWorks.com. They sell the different weights for the 915D heads. Be cautious if you plan on competing with your modified driver as adding too much weight may result in an non conforming club.

Yes. There are a number of different weights available. I changed to the black weight in my 915D2, which I think is the heaviest offered through Titleist. Somewhere around 12-14 grams, I think. If memory serves, it came stock with a red weight, somewhere around 7-9 grams. The weights are not inexpensive.

Yes the weights can be changed. Titleist sells a weight kit or the weights individually but you usually have to have your pro shop order as I have never seen anyone have them in stock.

    Here are the options...

Absolutely is. You should be able to find the 915 weight kit from any dealer. They may not have them in stock, but definitely can order them for you. Thing is, you gotta make sure you have the tools to measure it accurately or go to a place that does have the tool so you can be sure to have the right swing weight.

Doug, you can purchase lighter/heavier weights for your 915 D2 head. Titleist sells a full weight kit or individual weights depending on what you are looking to accomplish.

Good luck with the shorter length!

Thanks for all of the answers. I shortened my driver 3/4". I have played a short driver my whole life. I find the sweet spot many more times with the shorter length than with the longer shaft. Thanks again!
