  1. Drives weren’t the best be save shots were on point and my 30 yards and in were always within 7 yards so I’m getting better I will become a scratch golfer one day I have even been golfing for a year yet think I’m doing pretty good for a beginner

Keep at it. Whether you’re scratch or 10, keep in mind part of the goal of golf is to have fun. 90% of all golfers never break 90 and it is a small decimal point that reach scratch. Enjoy the scenery along the way.
  7. Nice Work. Improve each round on some part of game! 40 for 9 is calling you...
  8. I haven't had alot of time to play over the past year, but trying to play at least once a week over the past month. Yesterday, I finally got back to an even 90 with a 43 on the front 9. My best 9 holes this summer. Looking to get back to mid 80s consistently. I eventually will need to move up on the tees. For now, I can still hit driver/iron on most par 4s. I will move up occasionally just to be able to play all my mid irons.

From experience, working on those short irons and your putting will drop those scores very quickly. Personally have not been able to play much since late November due to medical issues. Congratulations. Hit the range today and worked on tempo, short irons and some putting. Felt good. Am playing in our club's inter-club matches on Monday, against against 11 other clubs in the tri-county area. First time this year. Good to set goals and even better when you achieve them. Clubs felt very good and results even better today since I had not played since July 14th.
  10. There ya go I remember the 1st time I broke 90! For a 14 HC like myself, breaking 90 still feels good!

One of the best ways to improve is to keep your average score (GHIN does that for you) and try and beat it by one shot each time you play. It is a very satisfying and gradual way to improve over time with out the frustration of trying shoot "a great score" every time.

If your average score goes down then you are improving because you are trying to beat the lower # by 1.
  12. That’s awesome! That’s great to hear!
