  1. I just have to ask, am i the only one who take the driver, fairway woods/hybrid clubhead off and carry them in my handbaggage when flying with my clubs?

Not even close my friend. I do it as well as any others I talk to!

I went to the hard case. I also try to get direct flights when possible to minimize how many baggage handlers mess with my clubs or the chance they will not get on my connecting flight. I also keep an Apple AirTag in the bag. If using the soft case, I always add a spare driver shaft and have PVC pipes cut to protect the aluminum legs as TSA handlers tens to put the bag back incorrectly exposing at least one leg on the side.

Occasionally I take the driver head off, but the Club Glove and stiff arm have never suffered a loss.

I also do it. Can't ever be too careful.

I've had some friends that do this. If it makes you feel comfortable, then go for it!

Personally, I just use my ClubGlove Stiff Arm.

I always use a stiff arm as well. Only once took the head off the shaft

I usually take the heads off and put them in their headcovers and slide them in the apparel pocket of my bag. If you do this just make sure you remember the hosel settings if they differ from the neutral position.

Not paranoid, just reality. I use a SKB hard case and my driver is longer inside my Cart 14 bag. This bag meets Deltas measures requirements for luggage. And I get one piece free. So the most I pay is $40 each way. Works well for me. For a short trip, take an overhead bag. I use my Nexbelt bags to put my driver heads in. I love the hard case, traveled all over the world with it and never had an issue. Not even a gorilla can damage it. How many remember that commercial?

I remove the heads, put them in their headcovers and place them in a pocket of my bag. I then tie the shafts to a stiff arm to protect them. I've never had any issues doing this. I have had the legs of my bag get bent so I might get some PVC pipe to protect them the next time I fly.

I’m with Dale. I use a hard case & leave the heads on. Stick an Apple AirTag in my bag so I can track it. No issues so far (knock on wood).
  12. I travel with my clubs at least 5x per year for the past 7 years and have never traveled with the heads attached. I always remove the heads, put them in their head cover, and place in carryon.

Can you really ever be too careful when travelling? Better safe than sorry comes to mind!

TSA wouldn’t let me put my woods heads in my carry on luggage needed to be in a checked bag.

I had no issue when I flew to Phoenix last year. Put the heads in my backpack with no issues. Did get flagged on the way back though. The guy who looked at it the second time just shook his head and said "you're fine". Where were you when you were told this?

Heads come off and go in my carryon backpack, shafts go tips down and I pack a towel tightly around the club heads in the bag. Also, a Stiff Arm is a must. The addition of an Air Tag gives me that extra sense of security. Safe Travels!
