  1. I am 55 and only swing about 80%. Which ball would be best for me? Looking at them today the Velocity Ball seems to be the one.

What are you looking to get out of your ball?
  3. Looking for a ball that would best match my 80% swing. Been putting with a Pro V1 for several years and love hit.

It's difficult to recommend a ball simply on the "80% swing". You need to consider all parts of the game (driving, long irons, mid irons, short irons, pitching, chipping and putting) and choose the ball that consistently works the best in all parts. So the two best options are: 1) Look for a ball fitting in your area and see what recommendation comes from that. 2) Buys sleeves of the various Titleist balls you are considering and compare them head-to-head on the course.

Best of luck finding the correct ball for your game!
  5. Thank you for the recommendations. They are much appreciated. Great idea on the sleeves of balls.

Agree with Barry-Get a fitting for best results

I too am 55 and recently restarted playing again after a long layoff.

First thing I did was a get all Titleist balls i thought i would potentially use (Pro V1, NXT-S, Velocity, Trusoft) and hit drives, hybrids, long-mid-short irons chips and putts

Picked which one felt the best for me.

I choose the Trusoft as I think it performs well, feels soft around greens and did OK on putts-I am sure your results will vary. Good luck on your choice!
  7. Thank you with more good advice for me. It is very much appreciated.
  8. I am 63 with a 85mph swing speed and 16 handicap. I really played well with the older DT So-Lo ball. Have since been hitting the Velocity and I am very satisfied with them.
  9. Thanks for your help!!! I'm trying both Trusoft and Velocity balls at this time and will more than likely use one of them.
