My fiance, of whom knows absolutely nothing about golf, has watched me over the last 4 months get back into golf, gone to a few stores with me, gone to a fitting with me, and has listened to me prattle on about Titleist this and Titleist that, especially when I am here on the Team Titleist website. She has seen me overjoyed when my 178 AP2's arrived, and next my 3 Vokey wedges, and then, of course, my Titleist Mid Staff bag. She also has seen me drool over the one and only 917's and 818's, and of course listened to me planning on how by spring they shall be in my bag. Now with kids, mortgage, etcetera, Christmas can be, well, a costly endeavour. And she being as loving as she is, I guess decided she was going to get me a driver and a hybrid for Christmas. I only learned of this feat as I arrived home Friday night to see the UPS driver on my front step, asking the kids if any parents were home. I took a quick look and signed for 2 very long skinny boxes, clearly marked Golf Town. And I was well behaved and did not open these boxes. Well when she got home the cat was well out of the bag and down the block, so she let me open them. And as she explained to me, she truly wanted to buy, me the models I wanted (917 and 818) but we needed to purchase gifts for family and friends and new drivers were not in the budget... I hugged her and gave her a huge kiss and a thank you. And to honour her thoughtfulness and kindness, I will play my new (very good condition used) 910H 21* and 910D2 10.5* driver and hybrid. She's pretty amazing seeing as she knew nothing about golf :) (pic attached) So long story short I will be using these clubs, but I spent all day at several pro shops, golf town and some time online(ebay, amazon) as well as craigslist, and to no avail, I could not find the 910 Surefit Kits with the Torque tool, weights, and guide, (nor an 818H head cover) that I guess at one time we could buy from Titleist. Does anyone here in Canada or the US have any suggestions or ideas? Does Titleist have a warehouse with some old things kicking about? Anything is greatly appreciated and Merry Christmas to ALL my fellow Team Titleist members!!!!
