  1. Hi,would like to ask help. Im right now using a dci 962 irons,im planning to change to 714 ap2, will there be a big difference between 962 and 714? Thanks

  2. I played 712 AP2 for a few years and weren't really impress by it so I switched to the 716 CB and very happy with it. It is much better than the AP models, perhaps you should ok at the CB instead

I would say yes. DCI's are closer to the playing characteristics to AP1's. You should do a fitting like a Titleist Thursday and compare both the AP1 and AP2 (maybe even the AP3) before you decide.

i played 962 prior to moving to 712 AP2....smooth tradition...you'll find the top line similar.....should be easy progression

DCI's are a great iron. I use my set for winter play (ap3 during scoring season). Based to new tech, the 714 ap2's will play slightly stronger. Just not as forgiving as the dci's are. I do agree that ap1's are a more comparable iron.

Rooster, you’re spot on. I played DCI 962 irons for several years (still have them, too!). Been playing 714 AP2 irons for a few years now. My impressions of both models are identical to yours.
  7. I had DCI's. I now play 718 Cb. Close to the same design of cavity back players blades. The 718's will be stronger by 1 degree, no difference. Good medium & long irons with the help of tungsten weighting.
