  1. If you havent noticed, players are allowed to wear shorts during practice rounds at the PGA Championship. That wont be necessary in two years when it moves to May most likely! How do you feel about pros wearing pants vs. shorts?

Considering some of the outfits that are worn on the LPGA, I do not have a problem with it. Comfort needs to be taken into consideration on the tour also. I know old Tom wore wool, and a coat and tie. Bobby Jones one of the best dresser seemed to always have on a tie and in Augusta, GA. Could you imagine wear some of those outfits in those temperatures. Folks even wore suits to baseball games. As long as they are in good taste. After all they let Big John wear Loud Mouth pants. Sign of the times. Maybe it time for a change and allow the pros to play in comfort, during June, July and August.
  3. Allowing professional golfers to wear shorts is long over due. These men are the best of the best. They are athletes first and foremost With a stringent dress code in place, allowing shorts will add an additional sense of style will be good for the game.

I don't see a big problem with it, sometimes it's nice to make a few changes. I am sure the pro's are enjoying the chance to wear shorts. It's only practice rounds anyway.

The whole world wears shorts on hot days when playing golf. Why not the pro's ? Its time to come out of the 1950's and live in the modern era.

Chuck summed it up pretty well. Probably overdue in the worst of the summer months in some of these hot and humid climates. I think it will be the norm in 10 to 15 years and we'll look back and think, man remember when they wore long pants, man what was up with that.

It's great and can break down barriers for golf. It's not like they are wearing camo cargo shorts.
  9. Shorts for practice rounds and pants for competition. Still make it a gentlemans game as the final rounds are televised. Only sport left that has values!

It's about time. Let them wear them during tournament play also. Leave it up to the individual player. It certainly doesn't make someone any less of a gentleman. Besides, they're wearing nice tailored shorts, not a pair of cut-off's
  11. Pros are human like the rest of us and when they are at home "practicing" they wear shorts. Why not allow them to wear them at any PGA practice round.
