About a year or so ago it took out my 18 degree 915H hybrid and replaced it with a 5 wood. It's a better gapping from 5W, to 21 degree hybrid and 5i.

I've recently purchased the T200 irons and since it's 22 degrees loft, I've ended up removing the hybrid/5W and adding back in my 46 degree Vokey.

So my setup is driver, 3w, 4-pw, 46, 50, 54, 60, putt.

Hybrid is better out of the rough and bad lies, 5W is better from the fairway and tight lies. I have a tendency to hook both, especially the hybrid. I find the iron easier to hit out of many different lies than both the metalwood options so I keep the 4 iron in the bag. I lose maybe 10 yds off the 5W and less of the hybrid.

I have the same issue- primarily use the hybrid for t shots on long par4’s. Occasionally on approach shots. Was thinking of trying either 5 or 7 wood to replace it.

It comes down to a personal choice. If you tend to "sweep" the ball, the fairway wood might be the better choice. If you're a "digger" the hybrid might be best.

Hi, I found fw easier to hit, fw 21 has more high and for me it is longer than the 21 hybrid. I prefer fw 16.5 and 21 (TS2) and complete with hybrid 23(TS2).

Hi, I never hit hybrids very consistently. I tried the U505 and it was much better. Then I try the 7 wood and I love it. Easy to hit from fairway and rough. I still have the U505 for certain shots.

I went from a 3H to a 5wood a couple years ago and never looked back. I had always played a hybrid but wanted to try a 5 wood and am glad I did. Hybrids are great out of the rough but I don't think a 5 wood is that much more difficult to hit there. 5 wood is also super easy for me hitting off the turf and tee box, low or high, draw or fade. I personally love the choke down fairway finder bullet that I can hit with my 5 wood pretty easily when I need to hit a fairway. I also prefer the shape of 5 wood to hybrid. I play the tsi2

It really just depends (good answer I know lol). I just went through a similar dilemma, do I upgrade from my 913H hybrid to a TSi2 or change to a 21 degree wood. I ultimately went with the hybrid because, to me, it's more versatile. I like to use my hybrid for a variety of shots, high and low, take some off etc. Trying to hit a 21 degree wood low seems like a losing proposition to me just because the weight is going to be further back. If are looking for a club purely to hit into greens and want it to always land soft, go with the wood. If it's a club you may also want to hit on tight par 4s off the tee to get into position, I'd go with the hybrid.

I find a 7 wood much easier to use than a 21H. The 21 fairway is easier to launch and more forgiving. I use an 816H2 25 hybrid for navigating since it has a lower ball flight. My combo has been 7 wood and 5H since 2007 without much deviation.
