First Hole in One

I had my first hole-in-one on May 17th, 2026! I bought new Vokey SM10 wedges at the start of this golf season and it was my fourth round of the year. I hit SM4 wedges for a few years too many (I say this because I play 50 rounds per year and this model was released in 2011) and I'm convinced my equipment upgrade is the reason I carded my first hole in one; my ball landed several feet beyond the pin and spun backward before disappearing from sight. It was even better that my father and brother were there to see it happen. Thank you so much!!

I got a Hole-in-One this past Wednesday, while playing in a Jimmy Fund Event at Berkshire Hills CC, Pittsfield, Ma. On the 17th hole, I hit a perfect 6 iron right at the pin. The green is elevated and you can’t see the surface. There were 5 people monitoring the hole for a hole-in-one and or the closest to the pin. The ball took one hop and then the people watching started jumping up and down and we then assumed it went in the hole, very exciting.

First Time

My first hole in one came on 15, par 3, 161 yds, at Summerville Country Club. The round started off ok, typical round for me full of highs and lows. I hit a shot on 13 and felt a sudden pain in my left elbow but blew it off and continued, 14 wasn’t any better and I thought maybe I should pick up for the day. I got to 15 unsure of what to do and hit an easy 4H and watched it land then disappear. Incredible day with incredible friends! Renewed love of the game

Twilight golf

Went out for some twilight golf with my family; wife Lauren, son Henry (7) first time playing from tees, and daughter Stella (5). Really a forgettable round, almost lost 2 clubs, was not playing well, more helping my son learn the game. Pulled 7 iron on a little down hill, 143 yard par 3. Hit the green and watched it roll about 10-15 ft into the hole.

This most recent Masters Sunday we were playing in a skins game to celebrate prior to going back to someone’s house for the masters watch party. On hole 16 I am second to tee off. Wind slightly in off the left hole was playing 132. I hit a trap draw right at the stick it bounced forward and spun back to go in the backside. The vokey and the ProV1X made it happen with that much spin and control. The date was 04/12/2026

Hole gunned at 157 playing 163. My buddy tee'd off first and had a good shot 15-20 ft from the flag. I hit mine using my 2023 T100 9 iron and pro v1x ball and we saw it hit and roll toward the flag but it was a hidden cup over the ridge in a little valley. My buddy said it should be in there close. As we drive around I started asking if I went long seeing three cop is towards that edge of the green and started looking around for it when he then said it's over here in the cup!

My Ace came on the 12th hole, also known as Birch 3, a 150+/- elevated green 3-par. One of the guys in our group heard the ball strike the flag stick, but we couldn’t see the green. They gents in my group, Keith Clark and Chris Beck, got to the green before I did, telling me the ball was in the cup when I got to the green…..I thought they were kidding me, telling me the ball was in the hole, but there it was! I escaped the clubhouse after $250 in drinks! Ha!

I had a solid start to my round as we began on the back 9. Walking up to the tee I joked about playing smart or letting it rip. One of our playing partners said to let it fly. A par 4 323 yard dog leg left with the corner clear to cut across. I could not have drawn up a better shot. Started at the left side of the green and leaked just past the center of the green. We saw the ball land on the green and take a bounce left towards the pin. I was in a cart with my Dad and was watching his shot not seeing the other carts approach shots. As I walked up to the green I saw a ball just in the rough and assumed it was mine. When I got to it, I noticed it wasn't mine. I looked around and didn't see another ball in the area. I thought there is no way. So I walked slowly to the hole and peaked in to see my Titleist Pro-V1 with my red #21 marking. My first hole-in-one and its on a par 4!! To top it off, my father, the man who got me into the game was by my side to witness the whole thing.

First tournament with my 13 year old some was a high school fundraiser for his school football team and he witnessed me hit my first hole in one. Plenty of friends who witnessed it made it a great experience. Love Titleist!

Recorded my first hole in one on June 11th, 2026 on the South course at Rolling Acres golf course in Beaver Falls, PA. Was a usual league night, luckily it had stormed just before we were set to tee off so we were still able to play. Was second to tee off on the 4th hole which is the only par 3 on that 9. The hole was playing a little over 150 slightly uphill and I took a 9 iron directly at the pin. We saw the ball land near the hole and after a few moments it disappeared from view! I sprinted up the hillside to get a different angle and when I knew it was in we took off towards the green! My buddy proceeded to hit his shot after we went back to the tee box to about a foot after telling everyone he was going to hole it to cancel out my skin! Got my skin and my first hole in one, onto the next…hopefully!

My Hole-in-One Story – Quarry 3, Joondalup 13th of September 2025

I went into the round feeling confident. My previous round was a 48 on the Quarry 9 at Joondalup, which for a beginner golfer is a solid score, so I felt like my game was finally trending the right way.

That confidence didn’t last long.

I’d just bought a set of brand new Wilson irons, and for whatever reason, I could not hit them to save my life. Absolute shanks, fats, thins — the lot. Nothing felt right.

To make things even funnier, I wasn’t even using a fresh premium ball. I was playing a Titleist that had literally been run over by my robotic lawn mower at home. Bit scuffed, battle scars everywhere… somehow that became the ball.

Then we got to Hole 3 on the Quarry at Joondalup Resort Golf Course in Perth, Australia

117 metres. Strong howling wind. Straight over the quarry.

I grabbed a 7 iron, thinking, Just clear the bloody quarry and I’ll take that. No hero shot. Just survive.

I flushed it.

The wind grabbed it immediately and lifted it higher than expected. Brett and I watched it land on the green… one bounce… then it started rolling.

Straight at the pin.

And then…

Gone.

It dropped.

Hole in one.

Brett and I just lost .

As if the story needed any more weirdness, the cart boy came around the corner right then, saw the chaos, heard what happened, and handed Brett and me a free beer on the spot. Couldn’t have timed it better.

And the funniest part?

After making a hole in one — the dream shot every golfer wants — I somehow went on to shoot the worst 9 holes of my life: 63.

So now I can officially say:

I’ve had a hole in one… and still shot 63 for 9 holes.

Golf makes absolutely no sense.

I Was All Alone!

I was filing with my 18 year old son. He had to leave after the first 9 holes. We were at Fox Hollow Golf Course in MN. I was going to leave after 9 but decided to stay. I got to 15, a par three with a green and an elevated tee box. 105 yards playing like 94. I tee’d off and the ball drifted slightly to the right in the wind. Bounced once about two feet from the pin. Rolled and disappeared! Bitter sweet not having my so. With me to celebrate. The grounds crew did see it go in though!

My name is Christopher Marks, and I recorded my first-ever hole-in-one on Hole 14 at Gannon Municipal Golf Course in Lynn, Massachusetts. The ace came on a 155-yard downhill par 3 while playing my regular course, where I typically play more than eight rounds per month during the golf season. Using a TM M2 9-iron and a Titleist Velocity golf ball, I struck a shot that tracked directly at the flag. The ball disappeared from view as it approached the hole, and when my group arrived at the green, we couldn't find it anywhere. After checking around the green, we looked in the cup and discovered the ball had gone straight in for a hole-in-one. The shot never bounced on the green—it completely dunked into the hole. As a 22.2 handicap golfer, making my first hole-in-one was an unforgettable experience and a moment I will remember for the rest of my life.

Hi all. My 1st ever hole in one happened on the 16th hole at Wantima Country Club. The 16th is a 157 metre hole. My shot was with a 6 iron. Hitting with a slight fade the ball landed on the front edge, 2 bounces and rolling approximately 1 metre into the hole.

May 12, 2026 almost 2 years to the day of my first hole in one, playing the same hole at Valley Brooke CC on Blue #7 I hit a 6 iron to a very similar hole location and watched the ball drop in the cup! This is proof that lightning does strike twice!

Playing in a memorial tournament for one of my best golfing buds. 135 yd hole ... hit a good 8-iron. It landed and kicked just as I had it pictured, rolled a little and disappeared! After freaking out a bit with my friends, I knew for sure that my friend's spirit was coaxing that ball into the hole. I will never forget that moment or the exhilaration of the celebration!

I’m a 24 handicapper who plays a lot of golf. When I was going out with my cousin we played a simple stroke-play match, where I won the front nine and when playing the back nine he was 2 strokes ahead until the last hole when I said I needed to lock-in, took my 50 degree sm9 Titelist vokey and hit the ball and as it flew straight at the hole it bounced and went around the hole and in to the hole. Even though it was a 103 yard par 3, I was still very happy and chocked by it as I have only played for more than a year.
