It does affect playability where you place strips as well as the swingweight of the club. <br /><br /> I wish the factory when I ordered clubs on this site would allow me to request a swingweight for irons or woods so they could weight it properly for me. I prefer D-4 in my irons and woods. <br /><br /> Depending on where you place the tape on sole will affect the playability of the club depending on the amount of lead tape you use. I had weights for the GT2 3 wood that I have. The fairways recently have been cut very low and I think with a heavier weight it would get the ball higher.
