The SM10 58-06K chrome has been a "lock" for a month now. I was talked into trying out the SM9 Wedgeworks 58-06K over a year ago. Also briefly tried the 58K* and SM10 60-06K jet black. The 60-06K Wedgeworks (which was a trade for the SM9 58-06K) was in and out but didn't do quite as much as a 62-08M (61*). 58-06K was way better overall vs 62-08M (picked the ball better off hard lies, got out of soft bunkers at Riverwalk). With a minor adjustment to the way I swing the 58-06K (more of a sweep), it equals the 58-14K out of soft bunkers. It is a nice "in between" for the "traditional" 56-60 setup. I'm currently carrying an SM9 56-14F and 60-10S to make 14 clubs. I also have a 60-12D set to 58 that I've used the past couple rounds. The BIG test for my wedge lineup was a rather large practice bunker with wet sand at Admiral Baker in San Diego; on the left is the pitching area and the right is a very small practice green. I could clear the lip with the 58-06K. 52* (a 54-14F) stopped about 10 feet short of the flag on the pitching green. The 60-10S was literally a foot from the 58-06K; however, I can play the latter a little more forward in the stance. the K gives an additional 2 yards vs the S (which is expected). The F and S grinds I had to play a bit back to get under the ball.

RE: Low Bounce K

I keep a 60-06K, 60-04T and 62-08M (61*). I also have had a “Phil 64” wedge for 6 years now. I use either the T or low bounce K to augment the 58-12D and 64/10 PM Grind. I use the 62-08M as a standalone lob wedge and set to 61* because it works better in various conditions.

Where the M and T grind win out vs low-K is distance on full swings or full pitches. Plus flop shots. Low K grind is better vs M for hard lies and better for soft lies vs T grind.

Standard K grind vs D grind is similar (58-12D vs 60-14K set to 58). K picks the ball better vs D but the latter is better on flop shots. Torrey Pines is a K grind course for bunkers and various other.

It all boils down to course conditions.

Not particularly a fan of K*. I got a 58K* to try out. Ok out of soft bunkers and most lies. It is horrendous on hard pan.

The other test I have is pitching downhill from a mound. This is where the T and M win out.

RE: Low Bounce K

Yes, like others have stated this is a club that can be used out of a variety of lies on the course. I traded it in awhile ago and bought it back yesterday (after discount) along with an SM10 60-14K since I had enough store credit (with $29 left over on a gift card).

I was able to acquire a 58K* last week for $45 net after trading in a GT2 7 wood (didn’t really lose money because I got it on store credit from Golf Mart).

I took the 58K* to the course last Wed. It was horrendous out of slightly soft sand but did Ok on a couple hard pan lies. I set the loft to 59* and it was a little more versatile (there is a sandbox at a neighborhood park that I use to practice soft sand).

Yesterday took the 58K*, 62-08M and a PM Grind 64 to the practice green and pitching area. As expected, there was a distance gap between the K* and 64. The K* and 62-08M were pretty equal except for the K* had 3 yards more distance. They were about equal out of the practice bunker (which is pretty hard).

This morning, took the 60K and 58K* to the clubhouse practice green and pitching area. The practice green has a spot with a hard pan lie. The pitching area has a deep bunker with very hard sand and there are spots with thick grass. Both clubs are 59* loft. The 60K had considerably better distance on full swings (about 5-7 yards). The 58K* was better out of thick grass.

So my path forward is to use the 60K with my 58-14K (56*) and 62-08M. I pair up the 58K* with my 64 and use them in place of the 62-08M. www.titleist.com/.../xkqzo1yuwvinnfwfxkzm

RE: Low Bounce K
I'm getting ready to order the new LBK*
I got talked into the 58K* by a local club fitter/repair guy.www.titleist.com/.../bg9b4rnezrbtg60gp8hmwww.titleist.com/.../iaiabvpct3vs8h9lhcws

RE: Low Bounce K

The 58K* is in the attached image paired with an SM9 54-12D. The LBK allows me to hit easier "splash-out" shots out of bunkers, per the unique 6° of bounce, versatile sole & ground. On that note, Its the perfect combination of "FEEL" and "TOUCH" interaction through the turf

........ Not to mention it's also a WedgeWorks Grind!!
