Behind The Numbers: The Northern Trust

After a thrilling regular season, it's playoff time once again on the PGA Tour. And as the first leg of the FedExCup Playoffs gets underway this week at The Northern Trust, Titleist is once again the overwhelming golf ball of choice among players with 73% of the field (87 players in the elite field of 119) trusting a Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 9% (11 players) and more than all competitors combined.

This week at Ridgewood Country Club, Titleist is also the top choice in the hybrids (19) and irons categories (32). Vokey Design Wedges topped the approach, sand and lob wedge (161) category and Scotty Cameron putters are the choice of more players than any other brand with 50 in play.

This weekend at the Northern Trust, you'll see many yellow bucket and baseball style hats worn in memory of our longtime brand ambassador and friend Jarrod Lyle. Titleist distributed the trademark headwear embroidered with Jarrod's initials to all of the Titleist players on the PGA Tour. In addition, Jarrod's Titleist staff bag and clubs will be displayed in a place of honor on the first tee.

Beginning today, Titleist is also making a limited edition of Jarrod's trademark bucket and adjustable golf hats in yellow available through its MyTitleist website. One hundred percent of sales will be provided to Jarrod's family.
