TITLEIST LEADERBOARD:

Im topped a leaderboard on which nine (9) of the top 10 finishers relied upon Titleist golf balls for their success, edging Mackenzie Hughes (Pro V1) by one shot.

Four players tied for 4th, including Im’s fellow Titleist Brand Ambassador Ben An (Pro V1x, TS3/9.5° driver, TS2/13.5° fairway, 716 T-MB/3-5 and 620 MB/6-9 irons, Vokey Design SM8 gap/52°, sand/56° and WW lob/60° wedges) and Lee Westwood (Pro V1x).

COUNT IT:

In addition to golf balls, where Titleist was the overwhelming top choice with 111 players (77%), nearly 100 more than the nearest competitor (12), it was also the field favorite in: drivers (42/29%), hybrids (18/33%), utility irons (34/42%), irons (41/29%), wedges (230/58%) and putters (48/33%). In fact, the Titleist iron count was more than twice the nearest brand (20), while the Vokey Design wedge count was more than five times the closest competitor (43).

WINNING:

Not only is Titleist the top choice in players across every major equipment category, it is also is the most winning brand. Titleist players have accumulated more victories during the 2019-2020 season in the golf ball (16), driver (8), irons (10), wedges and putters (8) than any other competitor. In fact, Titleist has eight times as many golf ball victories as the next closest brand (2) and twice as many wins in the iron category and the nearest competitor (5).

Titleist is without a doubt the hottest tee-through-green brand on the PGA TOUR as Im joins Adam Scott (Genesis Invitational), Webb Simpson (Waste Management Phoenix Open), Cam Smith (Sony Open in Hawaii) and Justin Thomas (Sentry Tournament of Champions) as Titleist Brand Ambassadors who have already posted victories through the first two months of the new calendar year.

PGA TOUR CHAMPIONS:

Bernhard Langer (Pro V1) rallied from four shots behind the overnight leader to capture the Cologuard Classic by two. Langer closed with a sizzling, best of the day, eight-under par 65 en route to an 18-under 201 victory total.

The victory was Langer’s 41st on the PGA TOUR Champions, four shy of the tour record. In four starts this year, Langer has finished T6, T5, T3, and now a first. It also marks the 14th consecutive season Langer has won on the PGA Tour Champions – all with a Titleist golf ball.

Runner-up Woody Austin (Pro V1x) had the second-best Sunday, firing a seven-under par 66 to race up the leaderboard. Second round leader, Titleist Brand Ambassador Brett Quigley (Pro V1x, TS3 driver, TS3 fairway metals, T100 irons, Vokey Design SM7 wedges, Scotty Cameron 009 putter), who was in pursuit of his second victory in his rookie year, tied for third.

Nine years after winning his first New Zealand Open (2011), Titleist Brand Ambassador Brad Kennedy rallied to win his second. Having finished 3rd in his previous two tour events, Kennedy fired a blistering bogey-free final round 8-under par 63 en route to a 21-under 264 victory total, closing with birdies on Nos. 10, 12, 13, 14 and 16 to finish two shots clear of his nearest competitor.

In addition to golf balls, where Titleist was the overwhelming top choice with 127 players (81%) compared to 10 for the closest competitive brand, it was also the field favorite in: drivers (57/37%), fairway metals (56/30%), hybrids (36/48%), utility irons (76/46%), irons (68/44%) and wedges (297/62%).
