Headed to New Zealand in September. Any suggestions on where to play? Can’t afford Cape Kidnappers, but am open to suggestions. We will touring the country for two weeks so no place is off the table.

Looking forward to your suggestions and input.

    Hi there,

Where will you be travelling to, North Island, South Island or both?

I have only played the courses around Queenstown on the South Island, (Arrowtown, Milbrook and Jacks Point). My profile pic is actually taken at Jacks Point. It’s definitely worth a visit.
    Good luck,

    Lethbridge,

If you are on the South Island and near Queenstown I suggest going about 40 miles west and play Wanaka. It a beautiful course and fun to play. Cromwell a town just north of Queenstown, actually on the highway where you turn south to go to Queenstown, is a great place to play. Fun track they hold final qualifying for NZ open at the course. Dunedin has some nice courses worth playing. Lots of the courses are reasonably priced.

Shame you cant play Kidnappers. I was lucky enough to have a mate work there as head green keeper for a while. Got to play it for free a couple of times.
So if you intend to play there iam guessing your visiting the North Island.

My recommendations if your near Lake Taupo, Kinloch or Wairakei International.

If your in Auckland, Titirangi or The Grange (Royal Auckland)

Played a few in the South but probably better for a Pig Islander to recommend them. ( Local Joke )
