Any idea how many players on the PGA are playing over length irons?

    No idea.
If the question is do they use a longer shaft for more distance, the answer is not likely anyone. Control is such a huge part of their game. A very high percentage of pro players, regardless of height, use drivers shorter than most amateurs. I'd expect that they optimize length for control and not for distance. A fitter works with them for the optimal length to their swing to consistently make square contact with the turf for irons.

Only their fitter knows for sure. With today's fine tuning length can make a difference. Had this conversation with the Titleist Product Specialist/Fitter in our area recently. Agreed that a shorter shaft can increase accuracy, but griping up on the shaft can do the same when necessary during a match. Titleist has fitting trucks at all the tour events to fine tune their clubs when necessary. Length is an important factor on the tour.
