  1. I was recently fit by a certified Titleist fitter for a TSR 3 driver with a MMT Speedmesh 40g shaft. My TSR 2- 3 metal has a 65 g. shaft. Is it preferable to match shafts on driver and 3 metal?

Not necessarily so. If you find the Speedmesh shaft has a preferable feel, you might want to try the Speedmesh fairway shaft. Especially if the driver has opened too much of a distance gap with your next fairway metal.
I have a Hzrdous Red in driver TSR-2 and Speedmesh in TSR-1 fairways.

I think you will find some that match and a lot of players that have shafts that vary significantly. Most important is what works for you. Always nice to have a fitter work with you on each club to ensure you get it right.

I got fitted two weeks ago. Driver TSR 4 Fujikura Ventus TR Blue 6 (68g), 3 wood TSR 2 Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black

75 (76g), and hybrid TSR 2 Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black 85 HYB (89g). I was not spending more money on upgraded

shafts for the 3 and hybrid when I hit both of those as good as I want to with the stock shaft mentioned. Is it good

to have brand matching shafts, probably. Is it necessary, No. If you are talking about matching the weight of each

shaft, then the answer is "NO"! Driver is lightest because it is the longest in length. Long = Light and Short =

Heavier. My irons are Project X 6.0 (120g)

In reality, you could match all your metals with the same gram shaft, there are some tour players that do that.

Driver 40g to 3 metal 65g is a big difference, normally it is increments of 10. Did you do a 3 metal fitting also or

    just a driver?
