  1. Morning TT members. I was just curious why we can’t get our preferred # on the yellow ProV1X balls. I play #19 and want to switch to the yellow ball? Thanks all.

    Quarantine about your day!

Found that interesting. Tried it and you are right will not accept custom numbers on yellow balls.

It's a math thing. When you do the Ball Plant tour, you see that the color, Titleist name, and number are produced in large quantity before the final clear coat and packaging. The specialized numbers have to be run in individual small batches and then stocked for future sales. There just isn't high enough demand on the yellow for specialized numbers so the could not even do small batches without waste and individually in groups of a dozen would slow the production line to a near halt. That would have a negative impact on affordability to the consumer if they had to pass on the added cost for production delays. Maybe some day the demand will make it possible.
  4. I don't think you can customize yellow ProV1 & ProV1x's as they do not have the same type of demand that the white balls do. The same goes for AVX - both yellow and white.

Dale had a great answer and spelled it out nicely. I guess GBrown could use a fine sharpie and write "19" on all his golf balls...just a suggestion!

Thanks Dale V for the explanation. It makes sense.
