Having just purchased new T250 irons I am wondering if I need to put iron covers on them to keep them in as new condition as possible. What do people think, are iron covers recommended?

If you are confident they will maintain appearances, go for it. My personal objection is if one slows pace of play by removing and replacing he cover
My opinion is clubs are tools, not jewels. Just about all my marks on my clubs are from use., not rattling in the bag. Whatever you are comfortable

You don't need to, BUT if you want to keep them looking as nice as possible - for as long as possible, go for it.
There used to be some stigma around using iron covers, likely from snobby purist, but I've found most people really don't care.
I've been rocking them for the last year and nobody has given me a hard time about it. Hell, if I'm spending $1500 on irons, I want to preserve them as long as possible.
Sure, they're "tools, no jewels", but whatever. Do what you want and if someone wants to have a pissy attitude about it, that's on them.
  4. I would warn you that unless you clean your clubs after every shot the irons covers may scratch your clubs taking them off and on. I work at a golf course and we get lots of them turned into lost and found also. Good luck and enjoy your new sticks

Im a recent convert to covers and to heck what other people think. I get it though, Ive seen the guy fumbling around but just build a routine into your preshot and it can have literally zero added time. I spent a lot of hard earned money on these jewels and actually the biggest surprise for me is the absent of the rattle when driving on a cart. All those humps and bumps in the rough (yes deep and way right) that normally cause the clanging and banging are gone. Also if your wood covers don’t go way down the shaft, irons can’t put shaft chatter on your $790 autoflex shaft.
