TSR2 vs GT2 Driver

    I’ve watched the reviews and seen all the YouTube content, but I’m really interested in hearing from Team Titleist members who’ve actually played both, not just launch monitor screenshots or cut-and-paste answers.

    I’ll be getting fit and I will see the numbers — 100%. This isn’t about ignoring data. I’m just looking for real-world feedback: on-course performance, forgiveness on misses, feel, sound, confidence, and how it actually plays over time.

    For a bit of context, I’m heading to Vegas from Vancouver next week anyway, and with the GT2 currently $200 off at Golf Galaxy it’s on my radar. My TSR2 has been great but it’s pretty beat up at this point, and the sale is honestly the main reason I’m even considering the change.

    I’ve got two young kids, I’m never getting paid to play, and waiting for the next model doesn’t really matter to me — I just want something that makes sense and performs.

    Sorry if this has been discussed a bunch already — I’m still relatively new to the page and haven’t seen much lately, especially since the GT2 has been out for a while now.

    If you’ve gamed both, I’d love to hear actual experiences and stories, not just “get fit” replies or spec sheet comparisons. What stood out once it was in the bag?

    I play the TSR2 driver. Tried the GT2 and did not see any improvement so stuck with the TSR2. It was not a fitting, but my experience was better dispersion control with the TSR, and a little less spin. Every swing is different so don't base your decision on what we experience. Maybe if I devoted more time with the GT2 I might see different results. Plenty of both out there so try to play yourself and see which works best. Both are great heads, but the shaft is more important. That's why most people will opt for a full fitting.

    All I got to say is the GT drivers are phenomenal! They still compete and do better than most of the new drivers out in 2026, especially when it comes to club head speed. I don't know how they are going to make something better, than what they have out already. If you look at the T series irons there isn't much of a change from the previous model (except the T250) All according my experience lol. I would go with the GT2 and put the extra cash into some golf.

    The price cut is at all Titleist authorized dealers. If you can get an outdoor fitting in Vegas, go for it. If there isn’t much of a difference between the 2, you can keep one or the other as a backup. If the GT (let the fitting drive the model, loft, and shaft) is an improvement, BOOM.

    The next series will likely be $700 US. Good idea to consider this now.

    Buying the same model (-2), shaft and loft will not likely be enough to justify a new upgrade. So, worth a fitting to make sure the GT is optimized.

    Great deal on the GT2's at moment! Online at Titleist.com will be best way for me to customize a stick!
