  1. You know what really irritates me is to see the people that would love to get the bag tag and stickers from titleist, but then you have people selling them for 85.00 on eBay. You were one of the people that got free stuff but then turn around and try to profit off it. Maybe it's me, but that irritates me.

No doubt. I received mine and immediately put them to use on yeti tumbles and my bag.
    Thanks Titleist!

I've been trying to get a Bag Tag for 3 years! I could just buy it online but there's more value in having received it. Not sure what the selection process is when choosing recipients.

    Drew,

I agree it's gotten bad, but it's everywhere as Calvin said. The only way this will curb is if the buyers stop paying these prices for this stuff.

I don't mind when you buy something, like a head cover, don't like it and sell it. If you got something free and don't want it then you should give it away, or at most charge what the shipping costs.

Guys, welcome the REAL world of what has been going on with TT giveaways for years and there is nothing that can stop it. Money is not the root of all evil but the love of money is and some who get the freebies are in it for a couple of bucks. They get it and it is theirs to do with what they want. Do those of us who are, we might say old timers approve, of course not, but we move on and not bother go looking for that brass ring on the merry go round (eBay). If you do not want to be upset and disappointed, with respect, stay off eBay. Personally. I do not go there, because I have no intent of purchasing anything off that sight. Again, folks, it will always be a problem, don't beat yourself up. We gave up a long time ago. And you are right, as long as people who are head strong set on "buying" TT merchandise buy regardless of the price, demand will drive the prices on eBay. So, really who is to blame, the seller or the buyer. Just sayin'.

Best bet is be patient and to go to a TT event, buy it off the Titleist site when it is available and wait for hopefully something to come thru the mail. With respect to all opinions.

Agreed. What’s $85 compared to an awesome bag tag that cannot be bought from Titleist? Immediately put mine on my bag, and was gracious enough to get some swag from a fellow member. There were a few extra divot tools so I gifted them to some friends.

Anyone who joined TT for the "free stuff" are here for the wrong reasons. The forum, for me, is a place for Titleist loyalists to share insight and ideas about golf in general and the Titleist brand in particular.

    Plain and simple truth.

I totally agree, if you are on here for the free stuff, then you definitely not a Titleist loyalist and not a good candidate for Team Titleist. Nough' said. Again, with respect to all opinions and as everyone on here knows, I stand by this one.

They're given out by Titleist I suppose as appreciation for loyalty, and they come out at random times. While receiving something is appreciated it is not expected, and I don't think it is any indication of your status as a Titleist customer. I always read about people receiving test or sample balls, but can't remember the last time I received any (they probably took me off the list after I complained that they don't float ). I play Titleist because of the performance, not because I might get something for free.
What is the value of something that's free? (I try to teach that to every teenager I know, and yes that applies to a college education). Also, do you apply that logic to everything, or just something you want and haven't been able to get yet? If you were gifted a new driver, and a few years later went to the golf shop for an upgrade and they offer you $100 trade in, would you tell them go ahead and take it for free since you didn't pay for it?
If they were readily available and easy to get, the value diminishes. By checking on ebay you have determined that there is some value to having one, and you're free to purchase one or work on another way of getting one. You know the actual cost so you can make an offer of what it is worth to you.
Now that you've told us they are asking for $85 on ebay, I'm going to cherish mine even more.
Hang in there and keep laying Titleist and good things will come your way (golf related only).

The ones on here that have like 4 posts, and they're all about "how can I get a bag tag" are the posers. If you are here just for a bag tag, then just go buy one on eBay. I have yet to receive one after about 4 years on this site, but I've been the recipient of a sleeve of Pro V1 prototype balls and endless connections with fellow Titleist loyalists, and it's been fun. A bag tag is just the cherry on top really.
