Hi all - Wondering what everyone is using to get a video of your swing? Now that I am taking lessons, coach wants me to send some videos in between sessions. I have an old iPhone as well as a GoPro. Would like to hear what people are having the most success with; both what you are using to record and what tripod/stand you might be using? Thanks in advance.

I use an I-Pad, using my wife as my personal video technician. She doesn’t hold a phone as steady.

I use my iPhone 6 with it clipped to a holder then clip it to my bag handle. It works. I record it in slow motion some times just to see where my club is at certain points of the swing. For me the key is to know what i am looking for and how to correct it. I still take lesson though.

Jerry - Thanks. I actually bought a phone clip yesterday. Do you use a remote or do you hit the button and then get in position?

Don O - Thanks. The chance of getting my wife to join me at the range are pretty much 0.

I play with a teaching pro once of twice a week. He kinda reminds me to keep my swing down to a blur. Fortunately or unfortunately he see every shot and makes comments accordingly on the spot.
  7. My pro has got me using Coaches Eye. It is an app for iPads or iPhones. I would assume you can use it on android. It works great. You can mirror your swing with professionals and see exactly what you are doing. It has helped me with keeping an eye on what my Pro has me working on.

  8. I use my phone's video recorder and the Selfie Golf clip. The clip is great and attaches to pretty much any phone and an alignment stick which you then clip to your bag. It works really well and is a nice compact product that fits in the bag without taking up a lot of space.

For analysis, I use Virtual Pro which is a free app on Android. Not sure if there is an iPhone version. It does take time to upload clips into the app but does have all the standard analysis features in an easy to use format.

Amazon just delivered the Selfie Clip yesterday. Now debating whether I want a remote for the phone camera.

I use an app for my iphone. The Teaching Pro used the same app and told me about it. Get someone to record it for me. I still have my swing on my desktop. The good one!

Chris, my apologies for the late reply. I simply hit the record button. Get ready to hit the ball as soon as possible. When recording in slow motion, be patient, it takes awhile to finally view the actual swing. Good Luck!!
  15. I use my iPhone or iPad. Having it in slow motion. Can really see what is going on, and what needs fixing

fI have had many opportunities to record my swing, but, I have always declined. I'm afraid to see my swing. In my mind, my swing is close to perfect.

I use v1 and hudl technique, both are great to be able to send videos back and forth with my students.

As I'm a caddie my players asks me weekly to record swing video. Apart from that I like to collect all that data for study.
I'm using FlightScope MEVO for stats of each shot. Next to that I have V1 app to see more detailed sights of the swing itself.
  23. I use the hudl technique app. I really like all that it allows you to do to analyze your swing. As for holding it, I ask a buddy on the range.
