I had the day off of work and decided I should take acreage of the beautiful weather here in NE Ohio. I had spent the weekend down with former roommates at Ohio University (reliving the glory days) so I was a bit late for the tee time at Shale Creek in Medina, OH. I was told I wouldn’t be able to play 18 so I only got paid for 9 holes. I made great time because I was playing alone and Carl, the ranger, told me that I could probably go right to #10 and pay later as long as I had enough time to tee off before the league started at 4pm. I finished at 3:15pm so I made my way over to the back. Bogey start, then decided to pull out a fresh Pro V1 with Enhanced Alignment for my tee shot of the 147 yard par-3 11th. A soft cut 7-iron flew towards the pin…I saw it bounce hard on the green and then lost it in the sun. When I approached the green I said out loud to myself, “well it’s either in the hole, or over the green.” As I got out of the cart and walked over to the green, I peered over the back…no ball anywhere in sight. I started to get a little excited while still maintaining composure because I assumed it had to be somewhere deep. As I peered into the hole, my heart skipped a beat…
