Well I'm 65 years old and have been golfing for the past 31 years. For the first 30 years I have never had a hole in one. Then for the past 5 years I have been telling all my friends that I just want to get one hole in one before I die. Well last November 24 I was diagnosed with a small hole in my heart which needed repaired. The surgery was scheduled for the 20th of December 24. Well a week prior to my surgery I had my first hole in one. It was at Arizona National Golf Club in Tucson Arizona on the 12th hole at 164 yards. I hit a great 7 iron right at the flag but due to the sun none of our foursome saw it land. So after everyone hit we all drove up to the green. I didn't see my ball on the green so I thought it may have gone in. Normally I would be really excited but after telling everyone that I want a hole in one before I die and the fact that I am getting ready to have heart surgery, I was not as excited as I thought I should have been once I realized my tee shot was in the hole for my first hole in one. I was actually a little worried as I do believe in fate. Well my surgery went as planned and I made it through. Fast forward 11 month later and I just had my 3rd hole in one this Wednesday at the same course but a different hole (#4). Almost the exact same distance at 165 yard with the same 7 iron. No hole in ones for 30 years then 3 in the past 11 months. I was definitely way more excited on the 2nd and 3rd ones. I also just registered for my hole in one bag tag for this one as I did not know about the program for the other 2. I normally play the Titleist Pro v1 golf ball but for this hole in one I was playing the AVX.
