Caliente Putter

    I have a Scotty Cameron that used to be my Uncle's which i had found sitting in my garage. Love the putter and want to get it refurbished. Unfortunately because it has an aluminum head Scotty will not accept it back for refurbishing aside from the grip and shaft.

    Should i send it to a third party company that is willing to do it or will it ruin the putter?

    It is up to you and dependent if you wish to ever sell it....

    If I did not want to sell and keep it for myself depending on the condition I may have a third party do something however keeping it in its current state may have some cool stories to put with it from your Uncle!

    Wow talk about a throw back! I haven't seen or heard about a Caliente in years! There's plenty of good refurbishes out that aren't associated with Scotty. I doubt it would ruin it as aluminum can be refurbished.
    IMO I would just game it and love it.

    I saw one in a Golf Galaxy last week and they were asking $40.00. I had never heard of it, looks like a copy of the Ram Zebra which I had and liked until it was nicked at the local Course. (It takes a special level of scumminess to steal someone's sticks)

    I have a caliente bolero that is kinda red in color. I also have a grand caliente that is silver in color. I don't game them anymore but the way I look at it is. Any marks are battle scars. I bought both new. The marks are from me. I can live with that. To recondition is your choice. If you plan on keeping it, no worries...
