  1. Hey all, I just got myself a new Concept X CX-01. I used to have the Select M2 and I put the large Scotty Matador grip on it. I now have the 35 in concept X with two 10G weights and the stock Pistolini grip. Any recommendations on whether I should keep the stock grip? How will a medium or large matador affect the weighting? Would I need to change the head weights if I go with the heavier medium matador or lighter large?

Any recommendations/advice would be much appreciated!

I have a 15 year old Cameron Red X (love the feel of the insert), and I put the Matador grip on it in place of the "Baby T" that originally came on it, after I tried putting a pistolero on it that came on my California Del Mar that I use sometimes on slower greens. I put the same grip on both putters and the Matador is supposed to be about the same as a mid SuperStroke. I put heavier weights in the Del Mar (10's to 15's), but that was because it's my slower green putter. I sent both back to Scotty to have a 36" shaft on both as I like to stand up a little more. Works fine for me on both, with the same grip feel. You can experiment but the grips are $37 each retail, so it could get expensive unless you go to someone who can put them on and off with air and not solvent so you can change

From memory the matador grips in oversized are 60+ grams and the medium size is 84 grams

I have the phantom x 12 in 34 inch and when I changed the stock grip to the matador midsize I found it to be bette weighted and felt smoother
