Oil Can wedges do rust when the 'hot oil' finish wears off and reveals the raw wedge. Some players deliberately take the finish off so that when it rusts, it will contribute to more spin. You can take a fine grit sandpaper and gently take off the rust, but it is a raw wedge and will rust if moisture gets on the head.
