“Will Titleist ever make a yellow Pro V1?”

If you’ve been on these forums for a while or if you’re new to the site, you’ve probably seen this question, in one form or another, come up a fair number of times. In fact, it’s probably the most common product related question we see posted.

Now, you may have heard some of the rumors out there that this was the year that we would finally introduce a yellow Pro V1. Well, I’m here to let Team Titleist know that the rumors aren’t rumors at all.

That’s right, after speaking with our product team I am able to confirm that we will be launching (sorry, I couldn’t avoid the pun) yellow Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf balls in 2019.

In fact, Team Titleist played a pretty big role in making this happen. We read and shared all of the posts from the community asking for us to make a yellow Pro V1 and our R&D team went to work.

They spent countless hours on figuring out how we could develop the best possible bright colored cover formulation. They went through numerous trials to get everything just right. It wasn’t an easy task but the hard work has resulted in a new offering that we can’t wait to introduce.

While we can’t share any more details than this update, we did want to make sure we confirmed this exciting news to all of you as soon as possible.

So stay tuned for more updates and details later in the year.

    Thanks,

    Mike

That is good news! I'm sure many would be delighted. While I am not one of the guys who asked for it, I'm excited about the news. I've seen one of the guys I know played a yellow ball during winter a couple years ago and I thought I would never see him play a yellow ball. He told me that it was the color that helps him see/spot the ball better on the ground when the grass were dormant on top. And while I still am very biased to the white balls, I would like to try and play the new yellow Pro V1 when it debut. :-)

Excellent News!!! It will be interesting to see how the R&D Team formulated the ball covers.
I'll be looking forward to the 2019 Ball for sure!!!

Titleist, always making public demand a high priority. I saw this on twitter thru Golfspy and wondered if it were true. Thanks for the update Mike. Not a fan of the yellow ball but have read many posts on here asking for it.

    Thank you!
I prefer the yellow in the Fall, easier to find in the leaves!
Any chance of the extra bright white (optic?) like the Velocitys have?

    Liversedge,

That’s great news Mike, this will help a lot of players with less than 20/20 vision
  9. Awesome news! I can't wait and I will be ordering them when they are available!

That’s great news. I currently switched to the new AVX ball for the optic yellow. I’ll definitely be bagging some ProV’s when they come out in the yellow. Thanks for the update

Awesome news! I’ve posted that question here a couple of times and even asked it again when I visited Ball Plant 3 last month. Can’t wait for 2019 to get here! Thanks Mike!

Nice!!!! Does that mean the Pro V series ball is an all new ball for 2019? I believe the issue in previous years was the yellow colouring wasn't adhering to the materials used in the urethane cover.

The AVX high optic yellow, was great in the low light and flat conditions of winter. So much easier to spot. It has became my favorite ball. However, in summer I moved back to white AVXs, but have also been using the Pro V1, depending on the conditions of the day. In wind of any effective velocity I use the AVX. Hard, freshly cut and rolled greens, I like the Pro V1 stopping power a bit more (not that the AVX is any slouch in that department either). In summer, I have not noticed as much difference in distance between the two as I did in winter, at least, not off the tee. It's hard to tell for sure. It was more obvious in winter when the AVX really seemed to go further for me. It will be great to be able to use either ball in the off season in high-optic yellow this year and going forward.

Will the Pro V be using the same cover/color formulation as the AVX?

Great news, I asked about the yellow PROV's a year ago . I must say some times in the year the yellow stands out better, thank you very much. Good to know sometimes you are heard.
  18. Titleist, thanks so much for responsiveness to the customer base. It is really fantastic that the R&D team have been able to come up with color formulation that does not take away from the performance of the Pro V series. I have throughly enjoyed the optic yellow AVX this summer, but still revert back to the Pro V on occasion. The new offering will provide additional options as described above by Doug E to enjoy. All the best and keep up the innovations!

Hey Mike - thanks to Titleist for the announcement and the acknowledgement of it's fans in offering amber Pro-V's in the next release. I'm looking forward to trying all the options in amber next year for my best results. Cloudy days have made it hard for me to follow white balls, even though over the years the Pro-V products have given me the best results (when I can find them).
  20. I think that is fantastic news! Bravo to Titleist on making that possible and thank you very much Mike for passing that on to everybody that is proud to be a part of Team Titleist!

I guess I am a creature of habit because I like a white golf ball. I am fine with it,but for those who like yellow you now have a choice.
