Do you carry a small talisman or something that brings you luck on the course?

For me, it’s one of my son’s baby shoes. I keep it in my golf bag, and it matches pretty nicely with my Team Titleist bag tag and my rangefinder cover.

Maybe it’s just superstition… but I like having it there. It feels like a little extra luck on the course.

Curious to see if anyone else carries something similar!

Based on the way I usually play, it’s apparent that I have not found a lucky charm yet. I’ll keep looking…

No real lucky charm per se for me. I did notice however that when I didn't have a particular ball marker (Titleist/t series logo) to use on the greens, I didn't putt particularly well, so now I make sure I have that marker in my pocket before every round. Maybe that qualifies for lucky charm?

When I was a kid my mother bought a box of Lucky Charms cereal. It was the worst tasting cereal I can remember. 60 years later I still cringe whenever I see that name.
When my daughter was 6 years old I started playing golf, and she stuck an envelope in my golf bag one day. It has several cut-out pictures of various golf courses and a note to me "Papa you have a great day at golf today." Been in the bag for almost 30 years now, and not going anywhere soon. Don't know if it's really a lucky charm, but more of a reminder that there are priorities beyond a golf score and that I did my job as a father the right way. She recently moved across the country, and me not being much of a traveler, makes it just a little more meaningful to pull it out once in awhile to reminisce the time we spent together and forget all those double bogeys.

Haven't really thought about this. If there is anything at all for me, it would be a personalized Pro V1x with the number 74. Can't say that I play better with one, but it keeps my mind on a great target for my round.
  9. My ‘lucky charm’ is the 80 year old cigarette case I use for my ball markers. How do I know it’s 80 years old….belonged to my dad who introduced me to golf… a Butchart a Nichols starter set.

  10. Have to have my mini groove it brush on my belt loop instead of hanging my bag. Swing feels off if I know it’s not there. Weird one but kind of a superstition for me.

I usually bring a lucky ball marker that I don't use on the course, but keep in my bag.

I don't have a lucky charm, but I do play the number 13 on my golf balls. I've worn that number since I was a kid growing up, playing sports and I like to keep the tradition going.
  13. This is a good topic - I am dependent on the ball marker - if I shoot something low I’m using that ball market until a high round pops up.

I have a custom ball mark made from JL Lawson w a Caddyshack quote "Stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball" that I use every round. I cannot claim it's saved me any strokes, but it certainly hasn't cost me any either!

I’ve got a few Scotty Cameron ball markers, 2 that I game. If I’m putting well it stays. Once my putting goes to pot, it gets switched out for the next round.

I’ve not managed to find a lucky charm for the rest of my game though unfortunately

I have 3 quarters, 1983, 1986 & 1988, which are years my 3 daughters were born that I use as ball markers.

i don’t really have anything super sentimental like that, but i do tend to stick with the same ball marker and glove when things are going well, kinda turns into a routine more than a lucky charm, but yeah it definitely feels like it helps mentally even if it’s just superstition

I carry two with me: The first one is my ball marker. It’s a Guatemalan Quetzal coin. Their version of a silver dollar but it’s gold (colored), and lighter. They are just a hair larger than a US quarter and made of ferrous metal so they will stick to magnets.

The second lucky item I carry is my driver’s head cover. My granddaughter (5 at the time) Gave me a German Shorthaired Pointer head cover shortly after my wife and I had to put our GSP down when she was only 6 years old. She contracted Addison’s disease. After I pull the cover off my driver, I always place it over my alignment sticks that stick out the top of my bag, making sure the dog’s face is looking straight down the fairway. Admittedly, there has been the occasional 180 degree turn so it looks the opposite way. That turn is usually accompanied by me saying “You do not want to watch this”
