  1. I have a business trip coming up in September to York, PA. I will have three days to golf while in the area, but can only find private courses. Can anyone recommend one or two NICE public courses to check out? Thanks for any help.

I will be in the area in a few weeks , did you play any and if so what course did you pick?
  4. I used to live in Lancaster, the next town over. Honey Run was a nice course when I lived there.

Hey Dave! I live in Lancaster so know all of the course to hit up. If your headed to York the best option would be Royal Manchester Golf Links

Good hard course. Was the #3 course in PA a few years back. Still a gem. royalmanchestergolflinks.com/

If you venture over to the Lancaster or Harrisburg side you can find Iron Valley; as mentioned previously, and Foxchase (off the turnpike), or head south and go to Pilgrims Oak Golf course.

Those are a few to look out for. I'd say the best options in the area. There are plenty of other courses but for nice established courses that everyone locally loves and talks about as their favorites those won't steer you wrong.

York has a few good courses. Honey Run was in pretty good shape this weekend. Bridges is about 25 mins from York via rt 30.
Briarwood is an okay track. Heritage Hills is not to bad. Weekend play can back up at the first par 3 but opens after a hole or two.
Half Hour north on 83 is Valley Green not to bad they only water 150 and in. for another 45 Min drive is Dauphin Highlands. Same as Heritage it can get backed on weekend play.
    Hope this helps.
