I'm going to replace my current wedges with SM7s. I play +0.5" and was fit into Project X LZ 6.0 last week at Titleist Thursday at Hidden Lake in Burlington (Canada).

I'm planning to order 46, 50, 54 and 58. I'm curious to know what the swing weight would be with a Tour Velvet Midsize grip.

Can you fit them to close to standard swingweight, even with the +0.5" shaft?

I've played SM5s and SM6s but found them heavier than I'd prefer.

    Let me know. Thanks.

Swing weight desired is personal. You can specify a weight as part of the order. Titleist will let your dealer know it can be met. If you prefer D4 over D2, or heavier, be sure to specify.

    Thanks Don.

Let’s say I’d like standard swing weights, which is D3 for 46 and 50, and D5 for 54 and 58.

Over length will increase swing weight.

Will I need to request the wedges be ported to remove head weight to adjust swing weight closer to standard?

Or are there lighter weight heads that will be used for the build?

I don’t want the wedges with a swing weight heavier than D5.
  4. I am late to the party here, but please make sure to specify swing weight. I ordered my wedges with a KBS Tour shaft and +/1/4 without specifying and know I have wedges playing at D7. Now I am trying to figure out if there is a weight/plug in the tip that can be removed or if I have to drill out holes in the head. Frustrating and lesson learned.
